Mission Statement
The Mission of The Chamber of Southwest
Florida is to be a regional business organization that builds leadership
as a strategic contribution to the community. We will be strong
advocates of our members’ interests before government and we will
encourage the continuing development of regional infrastructure. We will
deliver quality information, services and value to our members that
provide a positive contribution to their business.
Leadership Development
The region’s premium community leadership
program is Leadership Lee County, now recruiting its next class to begin
their journey through the community acquiring valuable information about
all aspects of Lee County and Southwest Florida and the skills required
to become future trustees of the community and volunteer leaders guiding
our collective future.
Membership Services
The Chamber’s Web site keeps members
informed, allows on-line event registration, includes luncheon photos
and provides links to area business and governmental resources.
FloridaJobs4U.com is a user-friendly tool that has been developed with
direct input and daily participation from our region’s largest
employers. Job seekers complete on-line applications in customized
formats that speed the hiring process. Companies find valuable new
employees 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with this hi-tech tool.
Member Luncheons, held every month, educate our members about current
issues, and feature newsmakers and public officials. The Bottom Line
newsletter, featured in Gulfshore Business, keeps members informed about
Chamber activities and includes business news important for success.
Strategic Business Information
The annual Regional Economic Outlook
Conference provides an exploration of issues followed by our traditional
economic and technology forecasts. We are known for our national and
local experts who provide valuable information your business can put to
use. See The Chamber's website for information about the next
conference.
Governmental Advocacy
Our regional chamber has a tradition of
advocacy for regional solutions and adequate infrastructure. Our
government relations committee–the Regional Business Leadership
Coalition–educates business leaders about public policy issues and
encourages major investor members to become politically active. |
