Leadership Lee County

Leadership Lee County is a 16-week series of community leadership programs designed to develop an informed and pro-active network of trustees from all sectors of Lee County.


Established in 1986 Leadership Lee County is a program of The Chamber of Southwest Florida. Since the Charter Class in 1986 more than 700 community leaders, executives, public officials, non-profit directors and business owners have become community trustees who work for the improvement of Lee County.

LEAD (Leadership, Education, Awareness and Development)

LEAD Southwest Florida is a Regional Community Leadership Program beginning in 2008. With this new program, the community will benefit from the combined efforts of a regional coalition of committed leaders focused on improving the community by:


  • Continuing to work beyond the study
  • Creating a plan of action
  • Report the plan and recommendations to the regional community
  • Gain the support of the regional community for the plan of action
  • Follow through with the plan of action
  • Continue to hold the community in trust
